Get Started Today

Begin your journey to culinary excellence with us by completing the following steps.  To get started, please fill out the form to your right or call us at 905-273-5588 to arrange a no obligation campus tour.

About The Chef School Campus

We offer a unique campus, that gives you the ultimate, hands-on approach to learning. Unlike many other culinary schools, we’re located inside of a fine dining restaurant. You’ll be learning and cooking in a kitchen that’s separate from the restaurant kitchen, but you’ll have the unique opportunity to interact with professional chefs and experience what working in a real restaurant kitchen is like.

During your tour, you’ll have the opportunity to visit out learning kitchens, meet with some of our current students and instructors and see some classes in progress.  This unique tour will give you a good sense of just how our small class sizes and one on one attention to students and their learning strengths makes us stand apart from other culinary schools.

Program Requirements

First of all, you must have a love of everything food and a desire to work in a real life learning environment!  We require all students to have a high school diploma (Grade 12 or GED 12) or status as a mature student (18 years of age or older) by the start date of the program they’ve enrolled in.

Interview

Your interview will be held as you tour the campus.  The interview is the initial step to determining how your background and interests relate to the programs we offer and help both the admissions officer and the student decide which program is the best fit.

We’ll tour the campus, as we discuss your background, previous education, interests and our program offerings.  We’re also happy to answer any questions you may have, from support services, to our curriculum.   During the tour, you’ll have the chance to meet students and instructors who can discuss their experiences, letting you get a feel for the environment.

Assessment

Once you’ve decided The Culinary Arts School of Ontario is a great fit for you, we need to complete an Admissions Assessment, which helps us understand more about you, your learning style and any special requirements.

Please Note: We may need to request additional information to help us evaluate academic success.  All requested information must be provided upon request.

Registration & Acceptance

The final step to enroll in our culinary programs is to provide a registration fee.  The fee of $500 will be required to hold a seat in the class you selected. The registration fee will be deducted from your tuition fees when registration is complete. This fee is payable by cheque, cash or credit card.

Please Note:  No fee is required for second career applicant.

NOTE: You must meet the all requirements (interview, admissions assessment and educational minimums) for formal acceptance. Upon the successful completion of these steps, you will be required to complete an admissions contract and agreement.
